Hello,

My name is Emily, and I’m proud to be a local artist living just a few blocks away from Cliff’s Taphouse. Kansas City has been my home for years, and my family and I love our vibrant neighborhood nestled between the Crossroads Art District and the historic Hyde Park area.

After earning my BFA in Theatre Set Design from The University of Kansas, I spent over a decade designing and painting sets for local theaters across the metro. That experience taught me how to bring stories to life through visual elements, and it continues to inspire my work today.

Now, my passion has shifted to telling my own stories through oil and acrylic paintings. For me, painting is a way to process the ups and downs of life—capturing both struggles and joys—and sharing that honesty through my art. I believe vulnerability in art has the power to inspire hope and connect us to one another.

Thank you for taking the time to enjoy my work while savoring a great meal. It means so much to me to share my art in a space that’s part of our community. If you’d like to stay connected, I’d love to hear from you! You can join my newsletter, visit my website, shop my art, follow me on instagram, or simply reach out to say hello.
